We appreciate how busy your inbox can become, so EIS will only send out Support, Training & News messages every Thursday. 

If there is something critical that our customers need to know immediately, we will of course send a message straightaway –

that way you will know the EIS email needs urgent action.

Information Reminder:

Notification to Schools on the EIS Hosting Service of the SIMS Summer Main Release

Following the release of the SIMS Summer 2018 upgrade – EIS SIMS Hosting customers should be aware that EIS

will be upgrading the EIS Hosting Service between 17:00 on Friday 20th July and 06:00 on Monday 23rd July 2018.

This means you will not be able to access SIMS/ Discover or FMS during this time.

The SIMS Discover Summer 2018 release will also be carried out during the same weekend to ensure the versions compatibility.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Hosted schools will have to Import the latest version reports on Monday 23rd July, there is Information Notice 18-E031

which can be followed in order to complete this. This process is no longer completed as part of the EIS Hosting Service upgrade.

Fake Email Alert Warning

EIS is aware of an e-mail being sent to schools that purports to come from Geerings but this is not the case and it may contain

malicious files.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind you, that if you receive an email you are not expecting, to be extra cautious before

opening the email or any attachments/links included (think before you click). EIS recommends that you do not open/click on reply,

attachment or link if it is from an unknown sender or could be suspicious.

 

If the e-mail is from a known sender but you are still suspicious, contact the sender and confirm with them if it is genuine.
